George is one of the “natives” at the Oaks. He began skating in 1960 when he belonged to a roller skating club at his high school here in Portland. His involvement in the sport has continuously grown. He competed for about 10 years, then began coaching. As mentioned before, George has always skated for the Oaks Skating Club. He has been coached by Dale & Jeanne Pritchard, Ray Lenty & John Clark. George has won or placed at the Northwest Regional Championships in dance, figures & freestyle, and c
